Ken McLeroy 1941-2007
Damon's uncle Ken passed away September 12th and the funeral was today. He was loved by so many people. I remember him always making me feel welcome in their home and he was always ready to laugh and joke. The service was very beautiful.
The church in Denver City prepared a meal for the family so we were able to visit before everyone had to return home. Here are some of the pictures I was able to get:

San Fransico Trip
We were able to get away for a quick vacation to visit our friends Chris and Debby. They live outside San Fransico in a small town called Half Moon Bay. We've known them online for over 5 years but this was the first time to meet them in person. They are amazing hosts. Debby is a wonderful cook. Sidney ate fresh blueberries and sweet peas for the first time. The weather was such a nice break from our usual West Texas summer. 70 degrees with a cool breeze right off the ocean. We saw lots of fog. It was beautiful to see it creeping over the mountains. Unfortunately my camera broke the second day of the trip so I didn't get to play paparazzi. Here are some pictures that Chris took for us:

Austin Trip
This past week we were able to go to Cedar Park to visit my family. It was so great to see everyone. We ate at some great restaurants. The Salt Lick was just as good as I remember and The Iguana Grill had an amazing view of the lake. Aunt Pam and Uncle Lloyd watched the kids on Friday night so we were able to have a date night. It was such a fun time. My face hurt from laughing so much.

Saturday night Meredith and Scott hosted a fajita dinner at their beautiful new home. The food was terrific. Uncle Charlie brought his home-made salsa and was in charge of the margaritas. Yum! We really enjoyed being in the Austin area. We may have to move back.....
