Girls Day Out

Today Sidney and I went out to lunch with some of the ladies I work with. We ate at Yana's one of my favorite places and then went to the movies and saw The Lake House. I liked it. Damon would never have gone with me. It was a total chick flick. Sidney was very good and didn't make any noise during the movie. This was her second time to go to the movies. Yesterday the babysitter took her to see Nacho Libre. Haha! Apparently she's a big Jack Black fan.

Daddy Day

Today was Damon's first Father's Day.
In honor of this occasion I changed all the poopy diapers. Haha! He also got a new video card for his computer so he can now use 2 monitors at the same time. Damon grilled steaks for lunch (his favorite thing to cook) and now we're watching the NBA playoffs. Go Heat!!! White Hot!!! A great day with the family.

It Starts!

Summer vacation time is here! Unfortunately my work schedule won't permit any trips for the next few months. So we're stuck with making our own fun around town. It's really a lot like Hawaii here - when you close your eyes. The weather has been too hot to go outside. You feel like you're standing in an oven using a blow dryer. Our fun outings so far have consisted of going to the Mall and Walmart. I'm looking forward to Sidney getting bigger so we can take her ice skating on these hot days. Hopefully next year we'll be able to go to the beach or the mountains for a few weeks. Until then we'll be living through our friends. One of the people I work with just returned from the Phillipines and another of my co-workers is going to Roatan next month. Fun times ahead!
